Action on Dockless Bikes

The Cornhill Team have been lobbying for more action to deal with carelessly abandoned dockless bikes which have become a real problem in areas like Threadneedle Street, Cornhill, outside the Royal Exchange and some of the adjoining alleys.

It’s good to see our Chair of Planning and Transportation taking action on this at the highest level meeting the CEO of Lime to discuss better ways of operation. Well done Shravan Joshi MBE.

99 Bishopsgate Development Approved

This building will largely complete the Cornhill Ward part of the Eastern Cluster of tall buildings. I look forward to welcoming the new tenants and also visitors to the building as it isn’t just an office building. I’ve long supported mixed use and ‘open to the public’ developments in place of closed private ‘wall and lobby’ buildings.

A new network of pedestrian routes linking in to the recently consented adjacent 55 Bishopsgate and 55 Old Broad Street developments will see a 1013% increase in public space, linking into wider pedestrian routes from Liverpool Street Station to the City Cluster and beyond.

Added to this, a new retail, food and beverage hub will feature on the ground floor, acting as a ‘City Market’, complete with seating areas that will welcome visitors into the huge, new public space, that would transform the site into a gateway to the City Cluster from the north.
