The canvass to register worker voters in the City takes place between 30 August and 16 December every year.
Businesses and other organisations that are entitled to nominate voters were sent registration forms at the end of August. The forms were sent to a named individual who is responsible for nominating the voters for their organisation. If we have a business email contact, we will also have sent it via email.
To respond online please use the Unique Reference Number and Passcode provided on the email and paper form sent to your business and enter them using the following link: Submit your online registration
The new Business Improvement District (BID) proposals, now named the ‘EC Partnership’ is being formally launched in November. The new BID would include Old Broad Street, Threadneedle Street, Bishopsgate, Gracechurch Street and Cornhill (The Royal Exchange and adjacent streets sit in the already operational Cheapside BID). These will be joined with the whole of the ‘Eastern Cluster’ area of tall buildings, Leadenhall Market, Monument and as far as Fenchurch Street station.
The intention would be for businesses, landlords and the City of London Corporation to work together to enhance the public realm within the area to include streets and walkways enhancements, work to improve air quality and organise events to improve the experience of workers, visitors and residents. Importantly the partnership would provide the area with a combined voice when discussing important matters with the local authority and other public sector bodies.
